About The Position

MaxHealth is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist in Bradenton. The role oversees patient care, prepares patient rooms, assists physicians with examinations, and performs front- and back-office tasks. The position is primarily focused on phlebotomy at the Cortez Road location. Medical assistants greet and triage patients, prepare examination and procedure rooms, obtain patient histories and vital signs, and measure height and weight. They may also schedule appointments and procedures, manage pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results, and assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments. The position calls for a compassionate, service-oriented person who can multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a medical assistant.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Computer literacy, including experience using EMR/EHR systems.
• Computer proficiency.
• Previous experience with medical records.
• The Cortez Road position requires 1 year of medical assistant experience and is mostly phlebotomy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care and greet and triage patients upon arrival.

• Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
