About The Position

The Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant (MA/PSA) will work in the Medical Group Urology department, serving patients in Glenview and Evanston, IL. This is a per diem, as-needed position with hours Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The role involves travel between the Glenview and Evanston sites. Responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling appointments, collecting co-payments, completing patient registration, providing administrative support, checking patients in and out, verifying insurance, greeting patients, escorting them to exam rooms, documenting vital signs, allergies, medications, and the reason for the office visit. Basic vitals such as BP, height, and weight will be performed, and phlebotomy and injections may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
• One year of work experience required
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
• Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required
• previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred.

Responsibilities
