Provides basic clinical and clerical support in the delivery of patient care within the Medical Assistant scope of education. The Medical Assistant experiences continued training of all aspects of the Medical Assistant role. Clinical/Administrative duties included but not limited to: Vitals, outside medication reconciliation, outside allergy reconciliation, screenings, patient history and virtual health. Conducts point of care testing including quality control and documentation. Assists providers with in-house procedures as needed. Provides administrative support including but not limited to scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check in/out, prior authorizations and transportation facilitation. Floats to other offices based on business needs. Administrative Duties: Provides administrative support including but not limited to scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check in/out, prior authorizations and transportation facilitation. Accurately documents and communicates interventions and measurements, and communicates appropriately to health care provider. Covers the front desk based on business needs. Assists in the maintenance of equipment, supplies, and a clean and safe work environment. Checks equipment and supplies for expiration dates, electrical safety tags, intactness, and usability. Cleans equipment and stores it in its proper place. Reports equipment and supplies needing to be replaced or repaired to manager. Stocks rooms, carts, cabinets, etc. as assigned.
