About The Position
The Medical Assistant maintains department patient care supplies, ensures timely flow of patients, and assists physicians and nurses to provide optimal care to patients and families. This position is also open to Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) candidates.
Requirements
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Education: H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

Responsibilities
- Perform routine direct patient care duties to assist medical and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients
- Maintain patient care environments and supplies to ensure patient privacy and safety
- Room patients, including taking vital signs and reviewing medications and allergies
- Assist providers with minor procedures
- Stock and close down exam rooms
- Remove splints and casts
- Apply dressings
- Remove staples and sutures
- Prepare unsterile instruments for processing and sterilization through SPD
- Perform DME fittings
- Collect and accurately process patient specimens
- Conduct MRI screening procedures
