Medical Assistant or LPN - Cardiology
About The Position
The Certified Medical Assistant supports the Premier Physician Network by providing general clinical and procedural patient care under the supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center Physicians/Providers. The role typically involves seeing upwards of 30 patients per day and contributing to a high-quality patient experience. Procedures performed independently may include rooming patients and collecting vital signs, pulmonary function tests, administering injections, EKGs, breathing treatments, lab testing, dressing changes, wound cleaning, and hearing and vision tests. Attention to detail and excellent documentation are ongoing expectations. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
- Certified Medical Assistant who has graduated from a recognized Medical Assistant program.
- Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management and physicians.
- Self-motivation to achieve high patient care and customer service standards.
- CPR certification within the first three months of employment.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
- Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in an ambulatory health care facility.
- Familiarity with the EPIC EMR.
