This full-time position is responsible for preparing and rooming patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and documenting health information. The role involves performing laboratory procedures, assisting physicians with procedures and surgeries, and administering medications under physician orders. The Medical Assistant or LPN will also provide basic patient education, manage procedure/test requests, and communicate with the healthcare team. Advanced clinical tasks such as suture removal, catheterization, and complex wound care may be performed. Responsibilities include maintaining exam rooms, stocking supplies, and ensuring equipment is in working order. The role also involves routine maintenance and quality monitoring of clinic equipment, and participation in patient-centered initiatives and quality improvement activities. The incumbent must demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate for the age of the patients served, understanding growth and development principles.
