Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking a Medical Assistant or CNA for their Internal Medicine clinic. This role assists in the delivery of all office-related healthcare and patient care management, directs patient flow, performs patient check-in and appointment scheduling, supports PPSI by maintaining patient financial records, provides closure to patient visits, and answers and directs telephone calls.

Requirements

Graduate of Highschool or GED equivalent
Graduate of an accredited program for medical assistants or Certified Nursing Assistants
Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification
Experience in an office or medically related environment preferred. New Graduates welcome

Responsibilities

Assists in the delivery of all office related healthcare and patient care management.
Directs the patient flow process at physician's office.
Performs patient check in and appointment scheduling as assigned.
Supports PPSI by maintaining patient financial records at the office.
Provides closure to patient visit.
Answers and directs all telephone calls appropriately.
