About The Position

This role supports a very busy OBGYN office with multiple providers and additional clinical staff. Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Medical Assistant performs select clinical functions to enhance the delivery of patient care. Responsibilities include preparing patients for physical examination, obtaining specimens, conducting select routine laboratory tests and recording results, performing routine diagnostic tests, and potentially performing phlebotomy. Under the general supervision of a physician, the Medical Assistant may administer selected medications/injections. Clerical duties related to clinic operations are also part of this role.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

Certified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA, RMA or CCMA) with current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Health career Association (NHA) or any other certifying agency and at least 6 months of clinical experience.
Candidates who are not certified or registered should have at least one year of clinical experience.
