The Medical Assistant (MA) in Urogynecology will adhere to the Medical Assistant scope of practice, follow all policies and procedures, and maintain training and competency based on the area of specialty when providing patient care. This role involves performing rooming/visit tasks, assisting providers with procedures, handling lab-related duties, administering medications and vaccines, and completing various administrative and clinical tasks. The MA will also be cross-trained for duties relevant to the specialty or clinic practice and must demonstrate effective communication, teamwork, and maintain a clean and stocked work environment. The position requires the ability to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development over the life span.
