Medical Assistant (MA)/LPN - Rheumatology Clinic
About The Position
As a Medical Assistant/LPN, you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day. As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will welcome patients and support their transition into care, take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings, prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures, administer medications and vaccines as directed, perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing, document care accurately in the electronic health record, and partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care. Aurora Rheumatology – Franklin, WI is a specialty clinic focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of arthritis, autoimmune diseases, inflammatory conditions, and other disorders affecting the joints, muscles, bones, and connective tissues. The clinic provides comprehensive rheumatology care, including evaluation of conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, gout, vasculitis, osteoporosis, and other immune-related disorders. Patients are cared for by rheumatologists and advanced practice providers who work closely with primary care physicians and other specialists to develop individualized treatment plans. Requirements
- MA: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices

- GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.
- MA: Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.
- LPN: Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing
Responsibilities
