About The Position

Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. Medical Assistants must adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. They are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion during all interactions. Aurora Medical Group (AMG) is part of Advocate Health, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health systems. With more than 350 locations across Illinois and Wisconsin, AMG offers a wide range of specialties and services, including primary care, medical and surgical care, pediatrics, women’s health, behavioral health, and more. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional care and improving health outcomes in the communities we serve. Joining AMG means being part of a collaborative, patient-focused environment where innovation and quality care thrive. As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day. As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will: Welcome patients and support their transition into care. Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings. Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures. Administer medications and vaccines as directed. Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing. Document care accurately in the electronic health record. Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care. Our family medicine clinics are where residents learn to be family physicians. Throughout their three years of training, residents learn effective models of outpatient care, disease prevention, health promotion and practice management skills. Clinics are designed around large staffing rooms, where residents have access to faculty staffers and extensive clinic libraries. Each clinic includes numerous exam rooms, including procedure rooms. Clinics also feature in-house specialty clinics in the areas of obstetrics and gynecology, procedures, OMT and sports medicine, where residents work one-on-one with specialized faculty. Established as the Family Medicine Residency’s home in 1991, Aurora St. Luke's Family Practice Center serves the diverse neighborhoods and suburbs of Milwaukee's south side. Located on the Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center campus, the clinic's faculty and staff provide high quality, patient-centered care and personalized training for each resident. Your feedback matters.
