Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. The Aurora Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehab clinic, situated at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (2901 W Kinnickinnic River Parkway, Suite 101), provides nationally recognized care. The clinic offers a highly integrated inpatient and outpatient continuum of care utilizing multidisciplinary teams of physiatrists, physical and occupational therapists, psychologists, and speech pathologists. They specialize in treating complex, disabling illnesses and injuries—including stroke recovery, neuromuscular disorders, spinal cord trauma, and advanced orthopedic or spine conditions—by leveraging advanced medical technologies and unique replica home environments to maximize patient independence before transitioning back into the community Your feedback matters. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
- Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
- Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
