This full-time Medical Assistant position in Chronic Disease Management at Advocate Sherman Hospital's Health Management Resources (HMR) department focuses on providing clinical support to achieve health outcomes and integration goals. Compliance with infection control, OSHA safety standards, and accrediting organization regulations is required, along with maintaining a safe work area and promoting a culture of safety by reporting safety events and near misses. The role also involves contributing to appropriate charge capture, collaborating on coding and charges, maintaining inventory, understanding revenue and expense management, and promoting a green environment. Miscellaneous duties include maintaining knowledge of current standards of care, participating in continuing education, completing annual competency reviews, and performing other assigned duties.
