This position is responsible for delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, and documentation. The role involves assisting with various procedures, exams, and diagnostic equipment, maintaining aseptic techniques, and administering medications, treatments, and immunizations under the direction of providers. Responsibilities also include preparing and organizing patient charts, communicating with patients regarding test results and care plans, scheduling procedures, and coordinating physician schedules. The Medical Assistant/LPN will also assist with patient outreach, maintain patient confidentiality, educate patients and families, and serve as a patient advocate. Additionally, the role involves assisting in training new colleagues, cross-covering in other clinic areas, documenting patient care plans, and ensuring safety checklists are completed. The position requires maintaining a working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
