This role is responsible for delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, and documentation. The Medical Assistant/LPN will assist with various procedures, exams, and diagnostic equipment, maintain aseptic techniques, and administer medications, treatments, and immunizations under the direction of providers. Responsibilities also include preparing patient charts, communicating test results, scheduling procedures, coordinating physician schedules, and educating patients and families. The position requires maintaining patient confidentiality, promoting evidence-based resources, and serving as a patient advocate. Additionally, the role involves assisting in training new colleagues, cross-coverage in other clinic areas, documenting patient care plans, and ensuring safety checklists are completed. The individual must maintain a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and adhere to ethical standards.
