This full-time Medical Assistant II position in Urology is responsible for providing patient care within the scope of practice, adhering to all policies and procedures, and maintaining competency. The role involves performing various patient visit tasks such as taking vital signs, reconciling medications, reviewing medical history and allergies, and conducting screenings. The Medical Assistant will also assist providers with procedures, handle laboratory duties including venipuncture and specimen processing, perform Point of Care testing, and administer medications and vaccines. Additional duties may include medication refills, insurance authorizations, patient messaging, supply ordering, scheduling appointments, and managing referrals. Effective communication, teamwork, and maintaining a clean and stocked work environment are essential. The role also requires demonstrating knowledge and skills appropriate for the age of the patients served.
