About The Position

Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) is the employed physician group of Dignity Health Arizona, employing approximately 400 providers and 1200 support staff across a wide variety of specialties. DHMG has experienced significant growth and now offers over 73 subspecialty services. The physicians are involved in clinical services, academic roles, research, and leadership, contributing to the education of future healthcare providers through 84 medical school students and approximately 200 residents and fellows in 25 academic programs. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or completion of an U.S. Armed Forces medical services training program.
  • Six (6) months experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Assistant.
  • Demonstrated experience with computer programs utilized for checking-in and scheduling patients.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification.

  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
  • Previous experience in designated specialty
  • Bilingual skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
  • Perform patient care services under clinical supervision of a physician, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, physician assistant, or licensed Vocational Nurse.
  • Assist in prepping patients for examinations or procedures.
  • Assist with procedures.
  • Relay instructions from the physician to a patient or authorized person.
  • Collect patient data.
  • Document patient concerns, messages, and care provided in the patient's medical record.
  • Administer medications as directed by the physician.
  • Perform accurate vital sign measurements and documentation.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the back office.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the area manager.
