About The Position

The Lead Medical Assistant (MA) is a key member of the clinical support team who actively contributes to patient care delivery and assists with coordinating daily clinic operations. The Lead MA supports the clinic manager by performing a variety of operational and administrative responsibilities, while also serving as a clinical resource for the care team by mentoring staff and assisting with training new and existing team members. This role blends direct patient care responsibilities with clinical, operational, and administrative support duties while acting as a resource within the clinic.

Requirements

  • Completion of Medical Assistant Program - Accredited
  • 3 years Healthcare - Medical Assistant
  • Healthcare - Electronic Health Records
  • Medical Office experience
  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and accurately.
  • Proficiency in creating precise and comprehensive documentation.
  • Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems and objectives.
  • Strong clinical skills; able to perform clinical tasks accurately and safely.
  • Ability to accurately escalate patient concerns and communicate provider instructions via phone and patient portal.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of privacy, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • 3 years Healthcare - Healthcare Administration
  • Experience training and mentoring staff on ambulatory workflows and protocols, with knowledge of Operator Standard Work to ensure consistency and quality
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
