About The Position

Charter College is seeking talented, enthusiastic, and experienced part-time (adjunct) Medical Assistant Instructors to teach in a blended learning environment. This format combines in-person instruction such as lectures, labs, and group work with online tools including discussion boards and learning management systems. This position reports to the Program Manager.

Requirements

• Current Medical Assistant certification (CCMA required).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant experience: 2 years required.
• CCMA certification required.
• Ability to relocate to Reno, NV 89521 before starting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a blended teaching environment preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction according to curriculum.
• Follow course outlines, objectives, and evaluation methods.
• Maintain daily lesson plans.
• Monitor and document student attendance and retention.
• Grade assignments and submit final grades in a timely manner.
• Provide academic support during office hours or by appointment.
• Substitute for classes when needed.
• Advise students on academic performance and school policies.
• Communicate regularly with the Program Manager.
• Maintain classroom supplies and equipment inventory.
• Participate in faculty development activities.
• Attend required meetings and serve on committees as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies.
• Participate in student retention efforts and support at-risk students.
• Perform other duties as required.
