Requirements

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program recognized by the USDE or CHEA (or a hospital-based/equivalent institution) AND three (3) years of full-time practical experience as a Medical Assistant. OR A minimum of three (3) years of job-related training and experience for non-accredited program graduates.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), video-conferencing tools, and general computer applications.
Current, unencumbered national registration or certification through an accredited agency (CMA or RMA), or the ability to obtain one prior to start.
Any additional current license, certification, or credential required by local, state, and federal laws.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to various adult learning styles.
Plan instruction to achieve specific learning objectives based on student needs and curriculum requirements.
Continuously review and recommend improvements to course materials, including syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
Assess and grade students’ coursework, assignments, and practical skill check-offs within 72 hours.
Maintain regularly scheduled face-to-face office hours to advise, tutor, and mentor students.
Address academic or behavioral concerns directly with students, notifying the Assistant Dean of Faculty and Student Services Coordinator as needed.
Complete required documentation, including student files, attendance records, incident reports, and early alerts.
Supervise student externships; organize guest lectures, community service trips, and visits to local medical facilities.
Participate in faculty meetings, advisory board discussions, in-service training, graduations, and workshops; enforce safety and security standards across all campus spaces.
