About The Position
Granger Medical Clinic is seeking TWO dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant II to join our Family Medicine team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where patient care and teamwork are top priorities. The Medical Assistant II will support physicians and clinical staff in providing high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1–2 years of experience in a medical office preferred
- Strong customer service skills; able to communicate courteously and effectively with patients
- Dependable, flexible, and capable of multitasking
- Team player with a willingness to assist colleagues
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating professionally in English
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred
- Experience in Family Medicine preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Responsibilities
- Performing telephone triage and assisting with insurance authorizations
- Recording vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, etc.)
- Administering immunizations and performing phlebotomy
- Maintaining exam rooms and managing patient records
- Collect and record patient demographic and medical information; assist with prior authorizations for medications and procedures
- Prepare patients for exams and provide physicians with relevant information (lab results, vital signs, medications, allergies)
- Coordinate patient scheduling and address patient inquiries
- Perform additional duties as assigned
