The Medical Assistant supports the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care by performing a broad range of clinical and administrative duties under the direction of a physician or other licensed healthcare provider. This is a mobile, field-based role that requires regular travel to provide care support across multiple settings, including inpatient facilities, post-acute care facilities, ambulatory clinics, group homes, assisted living facilities, and patient homes. The Medical Assistant works closely with providers in the field to coordinate and deliver care where patients reside and receive services. This expectation aligns with existing organizational materials that note Medical Assistants may be required to travel based on business needs. The Medical Assistant is responsible for obtaining and documenting patient information, preparing patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers with clinical care activities, coordinating follow-up care, and maintaining clinical readiness. This position also supports care coordination, medication and vaccine workflows, inventory management, and accurate electronic health record (EHR) documentation. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, adaptability, and the ability to work independently in a variety of care environments while delivering safe, timely, and compassionate patient care.
