About The Position
The Medical Assistant II assists physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks in a family practice clinic. The role includes scheduling appointments and managing charts, providing patients with information to help them use and benefit from clinic services, and conveying a positive image of the organization. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, on the day shift at Prime Healthcare–St. Mary Hospital in Kankakee, Illinois.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant certification.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- At least one year of work experience in a public-contact job.
- Current phlebotomy certification or competency.
Nice To Haves
- Work experience in health care is preferred.
