About The Position
Baptist Health is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant II for our Lyerly Neurosurgery office located in Downtown Jacksonville. This is a Full-Time opportunity working Monday-Friday from 8:00AM-5:00PM. The experienced candidate will be assisting one provider with Medical Assistant tasks. The candidate will cross train and must have good customer service skills. Neurosurgery experience is not necessary, but candidate must be trainable. This office is high volume which means you will never be bored.
Requirements
- 3-5 years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Certified Medical Assistant Required
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
- Neurosurgery experience is not necessary, but candidate must be trainable.
Responsibilities
- Provides medical assistance to physician
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes prescription requests and referrals
- Additional responsibilities may be required based upon office needs
