About The Position

ChristianaCare is hiring a Medical Assistant II for our Surgical Oncology Department in our Helen F. Graham Center in Newark, DE. This role is well-suited for an MA who is organized, adaptable, and trusted to work independently, while also collaborating seamlessly with providers and team members to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. As a Medical Assistant II, you’ll play an essential role in providing high-quality care and supporting better patient outcomes each day. Requirements

High School Graduate or GED required
Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program
Hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
Two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant

Nice To Haves

Three years’ experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred

Responsibilities

Ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care
Assists providers during virtual and in-person appointments
Acts as a leader and mentor to office staff to promote effective workflow and team collaboration
