About The Position

ChristianaCare is hiring a Medical Assistant II for our Surgical Oncology Department in our Helen F. Graham Center in Newark, DE. This role is well-suited for an MA who is organized, adaptable, and trusted to work independently, while also collaborating seamlessly with providers and team members to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. The Medical Assistant II ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care, assists providers during virtual and in-person appointments, and acts as a leader and mentor to office staff to promote effective workflow and team collaboration.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED required
  • Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program
  • Hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
  • Two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant

Nice To Haves

  • Three years’ experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred
