About The Position

The Procedure Technician serves a dual role within the clinic, functioning as a Medical Assistant for office visits while also operating the C-Arm fluoroscopy unit during procedure sessions. This position works closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure the safe, efficient delivery of patient care in both exam room and procedure suite settings. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, adaptable, and comfortable working in a high-volume interventional environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • C-Arm / fluoroscopy operation experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic for extended periods.
  • Frequent stooping, kneeling, reaching, and assisting with patient positioning.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds and assistance with patient mobility.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this role.

Nice To Haves

  • post-secondary education in a healthcare field preferred.
  • formal training or certification in C-Arm / fluoroscopy operation preferred.
  • Pain management, orthopedic, or interventional radiology experience a plus.
  • eClinicalWorks experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the C-Arm fluoroscopy unit during physician-directed procedures, primarily in morning procedure sessions.
  • Position and adjust C-Arm equipment to obtain required imaging views as directed by the physician.
  • Ensure proper radiation safety protocols are followed at all times.
  • Assist with patient preparation, draping, and positioning for procedures.
  • Maintain procedure suite cleanliness, sterility, and equipment readiness.
  • Room patients for office visits; obtain and document vital signs, chief complaint, and medical history.
  • Assist physician during office examinations and minor in-office procedures.
  • Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed and per scope of practice.
  • Enter orders and ensure accuracy of documentation in the EMR system.
  • Prepare exam rooms between patients; restock supplies as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, infection control standards, and PartnerCare policies.
  • Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and front office.
  • Participate in team huddles and staff meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
