Requirements

High school diploma or GED
1+ year of medical office or clinical Medical Assistant experience
Experience in surgical and procedural scheduling REQUIRED
Strong customer service and patient communication skills
Typing speed of 40+ words per minute
Basic computer and math skills
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with patients, providers, and staff
Reliable and able to adapt to changing clinic priorities

Nice To Haves

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
2 years of Medical Assistant experience
Experience with X-ray imaging
Bilingual or multilingual communication skills

Responsibilities

Greet patients and complete intake, including recording vital signs, medications, allergies, and medical history
Prepare patients for exams and provide relevant patient information to the provider
Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms
Process prior authorizations for medications and procedures
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and communicate with patients about appointments and follow-up care
Assist clinic staff with additional administrative or clinical tasks as needed
