Medical Assistant II Float Pool - Full Time - Days - 8hr (multiple clinics - San Gabriel Valley)

This role prepares patients for provider exams, takes vital signs, records patient history, and assists in office procedures. The Medical Assistant will administer treatment, medications, and injections as ordered. They will also conduct pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient charts prior to appointments with recent test results and correspondence, and call patients regarding test results as instructed by the provider. This position will float to nearby clinics as needed and requires willingness and ability to travel to multiple worksites.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in lieu of High School Diploma
- Completion of Medical Assistant Program
- Computer skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- BLS required within 90 days of hire/transfer
- Completion of annual Medical Assistant Competency training
- Current California CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) certificate or completion of an external MA Phlebotomy training
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
