About The Position

Clinica Sierra Vista is a large Federally Qualified Health Center serving diverse populations. They are looking for individuals who prioritize the patient. This role involves floating between front and back office medical assistant duties to cover staff shortages, under the direction of the Director of Operations. The position also promotes the Clinica Sierra Vista Production System (CSVPS), ensures operational efficiency, and monitors health center objectives.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program Required.
  • Possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) Card required, issued through the American Heart Association.
  • Possess and maintain a California Driver’s license and valid auto insurance.
  • Minimum two years of medical office experience in health care outpatient clinic setting, preferably in Federally Qualified Health Center.
  • Knowledge of billing codes and programs, HIPAA and Medical Record laws and regulations, and excellent customer service expectations.
  • Must adhere to CSV’s employee health/immunization requirements or provide a valid approved exemption request.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in business related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Floating between front office and/or back office medical assistant clinical operation roles to fill staff shortages as assigned.
  • Promoting Clinica Sierra Vista Production System (CSVPS).
  • Ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Following through with implementation, monitoring and reporting on all health center objectives.
  • Supporting in maintaining proficiency in the role of Receptionists and Medical Assistant duties and responsibilities.
  • Monitoring the management of patient’s schedules to maximize access and minimize errors and delays.
  • Monitoring all functions of the patient check in/out process, including collections and deposits.
  • Ensuring health center and team are meeting TJC, HRSA, PCMH, HEDIS, UDS, CHDP, and all quality improvement guidelines and requirements.
