About The Position

ChristianaCare’s Medical Advantage at Milford is seeking a professional, dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and technical and clinical skills. The Medical Assistant I supports physicians in virtual and on-site patient care, performing clinical and clerical duties that help ensure quality care. The My65+ team provides personalized, comprehensive care for older adults, including annual Medicare wellness visits, chronic disease management, medication review and management, and coordination of care with specialists. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional cross-training or coverage at the Rehoboth practice may be required. The hourly pay range is $19.48–$28.24. The actual rate offered depends on individual factors, including skills, relevant experience, and qualifications.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED.
Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program, or current Medical Assistant certification from a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
Strong communication, integrity, technical skills, and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

Greet and support patients virtually and in person.
Prepare patients for visits.
Perform basic clinical tasks, including testing, injections, and EKGs.
Assist with examinations and maintain examination rooms and equipment.
Update the electronic medical record (EMR).
Manage patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling.
Handle clerical duties.
Troubleshoot video visits and support patient portal access.
