About The Position

Granger Medical Clinic is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant I to join our Murray Sleep & Lung clinic. This role is ideal for a dependable, patient-focused individual who enjoys working in a collaborative healthcare environment. The Medical Assistant will work closely with physicians and clinical staff to support high-quality patient care.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 2 years of medical office experience, preferably in Family Medicine
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and courteously with patients
Dependable, flexible, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Team-oriented with a willingness to support colleagues as needed
Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English
Professional verbal and written communication skills with physicians, staff, and patients

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant certification preferred
Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

Telephone triage
Insurance authorizations
Recording vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature)
Administering immunizations
Performing phlebotomy
Maintaining exam rooms
Managing documentation
Collect and update patient demographic information for communication and insurance authorization purposes
Prepare patients for examinations and ensure providers have all necessary information, including vitals, medications, allergies, and lab results
Assist with appointment scheduling and respond to patient inquiries
Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms
Perform additional duties as assigned
