Medical Assistant - Hematology/Oncology - Jefferson (Oceanside)
About The Position
This is a full-time, benefitted position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no evenings or weekends required, at Scripps Clinic Jefferson in Oceanside. Requirements
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
- BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Nice To Haves
- 6 months of experience working as Medical Assistant
- EKG experience
- Hematology/Oncology experience
- Assisting with procedures
Responsibilities
- Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures
- EKGs
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment
- Collecting patient data in person and by phone
- Stocking and reorganizing supplies
- Ordering supplies
- Scheduling return visits as needed
