About The Position
The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Center is looking for a highly motivated, friendly, full-time Medical Assistant. We are a multi-location practice. The ideal candidate would be able to commute to at least 3 of our locations.
Requirements
- Able to reliably commute to your scheduled location. Must be able to commute to at least 2 of our other locations as needed.
- 2 years of previous experience in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent multitasking, organizational and organizational skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Completion of Medical Assisting course preferred or relevant experience
- Physical Therapy or Pain Management a plus!
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and address any inquiries or concerns while fostering a warm and welcoming environment for patients
- Room and perform vitals signs
- Take a detailed History of present illness
- Prior authorizations for medications
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
- Assist with administrative tasks such as faxing, and scanning documents
