About The Position
The Medical Assistant (MA) Float is a full-time position, approximately 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to float to all SCHC locations as needed. This role requires solid experience and advanced knowledge in various medical assistant functions.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED, certification preferred for MA.
- Medication Aide Certificate
- Current BCLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
- Solid computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Multi-Physician Family Practice experience preferred.
- Electronic Medical / Health Records (EMR) experience a definite plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist Provider team with one-on-one patient visits and flow in a fast-paced environment.
- Prepare patient and all necessary instruments, equipment and paperwork for clinical visits.
- Assist with phlebotomy and administer immunizations.
- Perform vision and hearing exams.
- Schedule appointments.
- Document in electronic medical records and practice management system.
