Medical Assistant Float ( All Locations)
About The Position
The Medical Assistant Float (MA) is a full-time position, approximately 40 hours per week, and is required to float to all SCHC locations as needed. The successful candidate will have solid experience and advanced knowledge in a multi-physician family practice setting. This role involves assisting the provider team with patient visits and flow in a fast-paced environment, preparing patients and equipment for clinical visits, administering phlebotomy and immunizations, performing vision and hearing exams, scheduling appointments, and documenting in electronic medical records and practice management systems.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Certification preferred for MA
- Medication Aide Certificate
- Current BCLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
- Solid computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Multi-Physician Family Practice experience preferred.
- Electronic Medical / Health Records (EMR) experience a definite plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist Provider team with one-on-one patient visits and flow in a fast-paced environment.
