Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
BLS/CPR Certification required.
Up to one year experience.
Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
Basic front desk, clerical or healthcare support specialist skills/experience.
Ability to work with clinical staff, works well under pressure, and multitask within a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to the concepts of preventive health care and team approach to health care delivery.
Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Phlebotomy skills preferred.
Experience with electronic medical records, preferred.

Responsibilities

Interview patients with empathy to gather medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
Record patients' medical history and vital statistics with precision in medical records.
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing with care.
Assist physicians with examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort.
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms for patient examinations with attention to detail.
Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and proper disposal of contaminated supplies.
Communicate with clients regarding test results and health concerns, providing clarity and reassurance.
Perform phlebotomy and administer medications as ordered, contributing to patient wellness.
Ensure accurate documentation of patient care to maintain high standards.
Manage exam room supplies and adhere to safety protocols diligently.
Participate actively in the Performance Improvement Program to enhance service quality.
Promote a respectful and professional environment for both patients and team members.
Work collaboratively within a primary care medical home model, fostering teamwork.
