Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a skilled, adaptable, and patient-focused Medical Assistant Float to provide clinical and administrative support across multiple outpatient practice locations within the region. This role is responsible for delivering direct patient care, supporting providers during clinical visits, facilitating efficient patient flow, maintaining accurate medical records, and coordinating patient care services. As a float team member, the Medical Assistant will travel between practice sites and must be comfortable with same-day schedule changes to meet staffing and patient care needs. The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care and clinical support by obtaining vital signs, collecting patient histories, reconciling medications, assisting with procedures, coordinating tests and referrals, and maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic health record. Upon successful completion of competency assessments, the Medical Assistant may perform clinical procedures including EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, vaccinations, and point-of-care testing. Certified Medical Assistants and licensed LPNs/RNs seeking a clinical support role in an outpatient setting are encouraged to apply. Candidates with current Medical Assistant certification through AAMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or AAMP, or graduates of an accredited LPN or RN program with current unrestricted licensure, are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and committed to providing exceptional patient experiences while working collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and healthcare teams.
