The Medical Assistant to join our Endocrinology Department specializes in supporting diabetes patients and their diabetes devices. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring efficient patient care and effective management of diabetes-related devices. This role requires strong communication skills, technical proficiency with medical devices, and a commitment to maintaining patient privacy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a certified medical assistant program highly preferred
- Previous experience in a medical assistant role, preferably in an endocrinology or diabetes care setting
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly OncoEMR
- Certification in medical assisting (CMA or RMA) required
- BLS CPR required
