About The Position

This role is responsible for managing and applying cardiac monitoring devices, tracking and processing diagnostic reports, overseeing inventory and supply management, and verifying patient orders and authorizations. The position requires floating to Ascension St Alexius in Hoffman Estates, IL.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage and apply cardiac monitoring devices (Holter, Event, MCOT, and Zio Patch), including providing comprehensive patient education on their proper use and care.
Track, retrieve, and process completed diagnostic reports from vendor sites, ensuring timely dissemination to physicians and other appropriate healthcare providers.
Oversee inventory and supply management for all cardiac monitors and related materials to ensure adequate stock, and maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked workspaces for efficiency.
Verify the accuracy and correlation of patient orders and authorizations with the electronic health record (EHR) or patient chart to ensure compliance.
Float to Ascension St Alexius, Hoffman Estates, IL.
