About The Position

This is a full-time Diagnostic Radiology Technologist role at Ball Memorial Hospital. The schedule includes Monday from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM, Thursday from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM, with rotating call and holidays. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants. The role involves operating imaging equipment such as x-ray, fluoro, portable x-ray, and fluoroscopy equipment used in surgery. Responsibilities include preparing patients by explaining exams and positioning them correctly, collaborating with radiologists and referring physicians for accurate imaging, following radiation safety protocols, documenting patient history, staying current with continuing education, monitoring patients during exams, documenting information in the EMR, and assisting with minimally invasive procedures as needed.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
  • Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
  • Active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible).
  • If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire.
  • Current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit.
