About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Medical Assistant/Derm Tech to join our growing team. The MA supports our exceptional dermatologists by providing both clinical and administrative care, including patient rooming, taking histories, assisting with biopsies, scribing in EMR, preparing surgical trays, and educating patients. They ensure clinic efficiency by managing supplies, sterilizing instruments, and handling pathology specimens.
Requirements
- Certification as Medical Assistant or Derm Tech
- Knowledge of Dermatological procedures is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- CMA/DTECH Certification or able to obtain in 30 days of hire
- Able to perform duties of the job

Responsibilities
- Rooming patients, recording vitals, reviewing medical histories, updating medications, and prepping for exams.
- Assisting with skin cancer screenings, biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and cosmetic injections.
- Documenting patient encounters, including chief complaints and treatment plans in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Providing pre- and post-operative instructions, removing sutures, and applying dressings.
- Managing pathology logs, processing prior authorizations for medications, cleaning/sterilizing instruments, and restocking exam rooms.
