Requirements

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program
Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant - Certified (CM)
Knowledge of third party payer requirements
Strong aptitude for detail, and ability to work independently
Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
Skill in using a PC

Responsibilities

Assisting providers throughout the patient visit continuum, from pre-visit preparation and rooming to post-visit duties
Performing vital sign measurements (weight, height, BP, pulse, respirations, temperature)
Performing various patient care procedures within MA scope of practice, such as injections, EKGs, ear lavage, and blood draws
Managing patient flow
Informing providers of schedule adjustments
Actively participating in front office activities
Handling scheduling tasks
Reporting test results as directed
Contributing to administrative tasks, including appointment scheduling, medical record maintenance, and insurance claim processing
Providing outstanding customer service
Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment for all patients
