About The Position

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Certified Medical Assistant at The Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC) in Bryant, Arkansas. AJATC is a secure residential program for at-risk male and female youth, located on 110 acres just outside of Little Rock, AR. Through our trained programming for staff, AJATC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Our campus features residential student dormitories, on-site school and library, vocational training program, chapel, gymnasium, medical and an outdoor recreation area. Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Certification for Medical Assistant or Nurses Assistant is required
Be at least 21 years of age
Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test
Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry
Must meet the requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including having a valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

Coordinate the flow of students to be seen by the healthcare professionals within program.
Schedule students to be seen by outside healthcare professionals.
Work in conjunction with our Group Living department in monitoring and supervising students waiting to be seen.
Ensure medical documentation is complete and filed within student medical charts.
Document medical supply orders under the direction of the Health Services Administrator.
