Requirements

  • Medical Assistant License Required: CMA, RMA, or CCMA must be obtained within 60 days of hire
  • BLS or CPR certification within 30 days of hire
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Associate's degree Preferred
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.
  • Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
  • Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
  • Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain examination areas.
  • Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
  • Exhibits exceptional customer service with patients and teammates.
