About The Position

The Medical Assistant provides and coordinates medical care in an outpatient setting at either our Bellingham or Ferndale clinic following a patient-centered, primary care model including the following tasks: Completes patient rooming process. Completes patient testing and procedures following provider orders/standing orders. Performs desktop management and computer tasks. Performs immunizations and injections. Performs general clinical operation duties. Precepts new employees and coaches MA Apprentices. Orders supplies, medications, and vaccines.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant education program
Medical Assistant-Certified License from the WA State Department of Health (or be eligible to obtain one)

Nice To Haves

Two years of Medical Assisting experience
Experience in an outpatient clinic serving all ages, including providing immunizations
A strong interest in working with a diverse patient population
