About The Position

Centerpoint Health, a part of Lifepoint Health, is a regional healthcare provider serving communities across Central Kentucky. Centerpoint Health – Georgetown, formerly Georgetown Community Hospital, is located in the heart of central Kentucky, serving Scott and Franklin Counties. Licensed as an acute care hospital with 75-beds, we offer a broad range of inpatient, outpatient, intensive care, surgical, emergency, and diagnostic services. A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) who excels in this role performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office. This includes taking vital signs, documenting patient history, updating electronic health records (EHR), assisting providers with exams and procedures, administering medications or injections, performing basic lab tasks, preparing specimens, and maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms. The role also supports front office and patient care coordination, including scheduling, insurance verification, and patient education.

Requirements

  • CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification required
  • Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred

Responsibilities
