About The Position

MaxHealth is looking to hire a full-time fully remote Medical Assistant to conduct daily interactions in a manner that demonstrates a positive and organized attitude and effectively models the organization's service philosophy and values. This role requires strong computer skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and assist patients in joining virtual visits electronically. The Medical Assistant will support all patients of the company in an organized and clinically professional manner, encompassing both clinical and administrative aspects of working in a medical facility, including quality assurance, customer service and satisfaction, participation in planning and development activities, and adherence to defined policies and procedures. Requirements

  • High school graduate or hold GED with successful completion of MA school/training program and a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant with 3+ years of experience preferred
  • Experience in a Cardiology practice preferred
  • Strong skills and experience working with computers, electronic medical record systems, quality assurance protocols and indications of patient medical history
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety procedures
  • Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, co-workers and other physician staff members
  • Knowledge of computer software programs including: Microsoft 365 Suite, and EMR software systems.
  • Ability to cross train in other areas of clerical support
  • Ability to take initiative and resolve patient care issues independently or with the assistance of the Virtual Cardiologist.
  • BLS certification required

  • Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant with 3+ years of experience
  • Experience in a Cardiology practice

  • Support all patients of Company in an organized and clinically professional manner.
  • Perform clinical and administrative activities of working in a medical facility (quality assurance, customer service and satisfaction, participation in planning and development activities, and following defined policies and procedures).
  • Schedule patients.
  • Prepare charts.
  • Assist patients to join the link for the virtual patient visit.
  • Accurately and efficiently document medical information.
  • Accurately and efficiently carry out physician orders.
