About The Position

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking highly motivated students who wish to pursue a career in medicine for our year-long internship and medical assistant position. This program is ideal for "bridge year" students graduating or who have graduated from undergraduate school and have not yet applied or been accepted to medical school. This elite program is in its 22nd year, with most graduates moving on to successful careers as physicians or physician’s assistants. The position is a full year commitment and requires availability for a twelve-month period. Applicants will not be considered if they are currently applying for medical school to begin in September 2026. Applicants must have completed their undergraduate degree by June 2026 or earlier. This is a paid full-time internship offering in-depth Medical Assistant training and hands-on medical experience in the dermatology field. A car or reliable transportation is a must due to floating around surrounding offices/practices. Housing is not provided. Multiple applicants will be accepted, with the current year having a group of 40 highly qualified participants.
