The OnSite Specialist utilizes a wide array of knowledge, technical skills, and critical thinking abilities to facilitate job functions during surgical procedures as well as preoperative and postoperative equipment management. This role provides clinical surgical support by managing all relevant equipment, anticipating device needs of the O.R. staff and surgeon, and is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining Stryker equipment and other related devices. The specialist works with surgeons, O.R. personnel, central processing, biomedical, and other related personnel. They are also responsible for maintaining knowledge of products through Stryker training, providing information on new and current products, and accurately recording and reporting data metrics. The role requires maintaining up-to-date account information, adhering to all Stryker and medical facility policies, and resolving product issues. For Specialists working in the Sterile Processing Department (SPD), the role involves reprocessing and managing surgical instrumentation per IFU, HSPA/AAMI standards, and hospital policy, working alongside SPD staff to ensure timely and compliant reprocessing of instruments.
